A Space for People of Color, By People of Color. Be Cool.

Meanwhile, In Florida...

Never thought I’d live to see the day Angela Corey, noted demon and Florida’s current 4th Judicial Circuit State Attorney, has been ousted from office by challenger Melissa Nelson. In case you don’t remember, Corey is the prosecutor who failed to successfully convict George Zimmerman for the murder of Trayvon Martin, she is the same prosecutor who sought a 60-year sentence for Marissa Alexander, and wanted to try 14-year-old Cristian Fernandez as an adult (Nelson was on Fernandez’s defense team and got him a better deal). Needless to say she’s been asking to be unemployed for a while, and beginning the first week of January 2017 she will be. Let us rejoice, and sing.
