Even though Senator Harris & Stephen made it a fun interview, she had some serious points to make about how TRE45ON’s pouty refusal to work on infrastructure can easily cost the average Americans more than s/he has in an emergency account.
(Especially when that person is also suffering from a racist or sexist inequality gap on top of the 9% gap. She didn’t make that point in this interview - though she has other places - but I’m making it now.)
This leads me to something else that’s also FINALLY starting to be emphasized by more of the prominent semi-independent correspondents and journalists – which is that in a world where they both acknowledge and despair that regular working folks are too busy & tired, working their two and three jobs, to consider things so lofty and seemingly far removed from their daily lives like impeachment or the Constitutional responsibility of the relative democratic branches of government – Democrats MUST make the case for how and why those things ARE causally linked.
Because they are.
Danielle Moody-Mills makes the case for that here
And David Corn argues far more articulately than I that Democrats, both candidate and incumbent, MUST seize the narrative: the Trump Crime Family and its Republican enablers and co-conspirators are trying to craft a direct line from the U.S. Treasury, which is supposed to pay for OUR education and healthcare and infrastructure and job training, to their pockets.
THEY ARE STEALING FROM *US*.
Democrats need to make sure voters understand this.
***SPEAKING OF WHICH**
THIS IS WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT.
THEY ARE STEALING FROM US.
