I have no excuse for being late, I totally forgot to do it. I was busy scheming on playing Conan Exiles and ran off to do that.

I don’t feel like I got all that much done this week crafting wise. I know for a fact that the scarf is kinda stalled I don’t even think I put in a full pattern repeat this week. I ought to have done so because I worked Saturday but that didn’t quite work out as all these people decided to call to see if they can just walk in. The answer is almost always “no.” You can come during the week when there are more than 2 people working.

Another reason why I don’t feel like I got much progress done this week is because I got myself caught up in a side project. It took longer than I expected and of course by the time I finished it wasn’t quite topical anymore but I felt like it needed to be done. I’m no graphic artist but for a very basic graphic I think it came out okay, it conveys the message I want it to.

I’m also becoming frustrated with my cross stitch, not with the project itself but with the frame. It’s in an 11 x17 frame and when I’m working near the top I find it difficult to see what I”m doing with the wearable magnifyer/light thingie I use to see what I’m doing. I could use the tabletop but I am usually stitching in front of my computer and that lamp isn’t in the room with the computer. I haven’t switched back to the 11x11 because I don’t have a grime guard that I feel good about using without worrying about color transfer. I plan to work on that later today.I already pulled the fabric (white) that I plan to turn into the grime guard. So hopefully this week will be less frustrating.

I am constantly amazed at how people manage to sell things that one really could easily do oneself. I fell into a rabbit hole of zero based budgeting because I was being nosy about the process of making the envelopes. People could just use basic envelopes from any store (including the dollar store) but I guess people always like to pretty things up. But these envelopes are basically laminated cardstock. I suppose if one doesn’t already have a laminating machine one would be better off buying these if one were so inclined. Okay, there’s no point to that but I found it amusing for some reason.

Nothing finished this week but I do have some sewing planned after I post this so maybe next week.
