In case you missed it, NO they did NOT feature Janet in the 50th Anniversary Halftime Show montage at the Super Bowl yesterday. But don’t worry, they eventually realized that they had overlooked something.

Assholes.

Apparently a lot of folks are excited that Beyonce is going to perform at the Superbowl Halftime Show today. You already know my feelings on that.

But frankly, it’s been over a decade since I was really able to enjoy a halftime show anyway because I have STAYED mad at how they did Janet in 2004. Will bring that shit up every chance I get because I think it’s a damn shame that it has been allowed to just fade out of our collective memory before justice was ever done. That one of the greatest entertainers in the world, from THE greatest family of entertainers of all time, without which the Superbowl Halftime Show would mean nothing, was completely ostracized from the entertainment industry is some racist, sexist, pearl-clutching bullshit.

This article really breaks it down...

That shit was the very height of misogynoir and a big ‘fuck you’ goes out to everyone involved. ESPECIALLY this lyin’, bitch ass White boy right here. His “whole family” can go to Hell

I’m glad that light-skinneded chick has inspired everybody to celebrate #BlackGirlMagic today, but we should also take a moment to mourn the magic we’ve been robbed of for the last decade.
