In a bizarre conversation at a producers’ conference, the 79-year-old actor made repeated references to length of his producing partner Lori McCreary’s skirt.
“She doesn’t want to be thought of as a pretty face,” said Freeman. “She wants to be thought of as serious. But you can’t get away from the short dresses.”
McCreary is a computer scientist and feature producer, who is the co-founder of Freeman’s company Revelations Entertainment.
The pair have worked together since 1996 and she didn’t bat an eyelid at Freeman’s comments. But the panel’s moderator Mark Gordon jumped in to say: “He’s not a pig, I promise. Maybe he is.”
He then told Freeman that his comments on McCreary’s clothing could be considered sexist to which the actor replied: “Sexist? Yeah, but I’m not misogynistic.”
I’m at a loss for words, really.
