Today's Black History Month Fact (Feb. 3)

While she's famous for her anti-lynching crusade, Ida B. Wells-Barnett should also be known for:

1) Opening the first kindergarten for Black children in Chicago in 1913.

2) Successfully suing a railroad company after being ordered to a segregated car. (Unfortunately, the favorable judgment was eventually overturned.)
